The Tun 1775 Club Reaches 1,300 Members

Since its launch at Modern Day Marine on April 29, The Tun® 1775 Club has already enlisted its first 1,300 members. The grassroots campaign aimed at involving Marines, their families and friends in the effort to rebuild the historic Tun in Philadelphia has enlisted members from 48 states, Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, and five overseas addresses.

Help us reach another milestone – 1,775 members – in the coming weeks by sharing news of The Tun® 1775 Club with your family, friends and social networks.

“The intent of this fundraising initiative is to create an inexpensive way for large numbers of supporters to make a meaningful contribution toward the construction of The Tun®,” said Pat Dailey, president and founder of The Tun Legacy Foundation. “Each member is a vital part of our growing movement, and if just five percent of all Marines joined, we could pay cash to build The Tun today.”

Help Fund The Tun® — Enlist in the 1775 Club

Members of the 1775 Club support the mission to rebuild The Tun® for future generations. With membership you will receive great benefits, including a t-shirt, framed certificate, and a numbered coin. Additionally, members will receive exclusive benefits at all future events.

How it Works

For $17.75 per month for one year only (or a one-time payment of $213), you will be a lifetime member of The Tun® 1775 Club and help us get The Tun done.

1st Month:

– Your official 1775 Club Member T-shirt is mailed to you.
– Your name is added to the 1775 Club page on The Tun Legacy Foundation, Inc. website (www.thetun.org).

3rd Month:

– After your third monthly donation, you will receive the Official 1775 Club Member Certificate with your name.

12^th Month:

– After your final monthly donation, you will receive your Official 1775 Club Member Coin. All coins are numbered – so the coin is unique to you. Once The Tun® is open, present your 1775 Club Member Coin between 1700 to 1800 hours (5-6 pm) to receive the 12-oz. Tun Ale (or a non-alcoholic beverage) for 75 cents.

For members who opt to donate the full $213, the t-shirt, certificate and coin will be mailed as a single package.
