The Tun Legacy Foundation Receives a Philadelphia 2026 Neighborhood Celebration Grant

Recently, The Tun Legacy Foundation received a $25,000 grant from the Philadelphia 2026 Neighborhood Celebration Grants Fund, a grant program introduced to support community-led celebrations honoring Philadelphia’s 250th anniversary.

In the spring, the Philadelphia City Fund, in partnership with the City of Philadelphia and with generous support from PECO and the Exelon Corporation, welcomed eligible nonprofits to apply for funding to support Philadelphia’s 250th celebration activities, showcase Philadelphia’s history, and put Philadelphians at the heart of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026.

The Tun Legacy Foundation submitted a grant application to create programming and activities that help tell the story of The Tun’s role in the history of the United States. The grant-funded community projects will take place during the annual Birthday Block Party at The Future Site of The Tun in November 2026.
