Thank you to the guests who joined the second episode of The Tun Through the Decades history series, where we learned about some of the early proprietors of The Tun, the tavern’s role as a meeting place for charitable organizations, and its reputation for quality food.

Pat Dailey, founder of The Tun Legacy Foundation, who has been researching the history of The Tun for a dozen years, is the presenter for the series, and will bring us the next installment at 7:30 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, September 23. Focusing on the years 1740 through 1770, Episode 3, “The Tun Hits Its Stride and Makes a Name for Itself in America!,” introduces innkeepers Thomas and Peg Mullan, as well as new landlords, the Governor’s Club, and The Beefsteak Club.
