Fundraising Documents Outline Five-Year Plan, Donor Opportunities, and 2025 Recap

Three strategic fundraising documents that are bolstering The Tun Legacy Foundation’s fundraising efforts are available to all supporters of The Tun® rebuild to share with your friends, contacts and others who would have an interest in the rebuild.

The documents include:

• The Tun Legacy Foundation Five-Year Strategic Plan (2026-2031)
• The Tun Legacy Foundation 2025 Year in Review
• The Tun® Fundraising Overview

“We encourage all supporters of The Tun Legacy Foundation to review these fundraising documents for their own background and also to share the information with others,” said The Tun Legacy Foundation President Matthew Swindle. “If each of our donors shared the information with just one prospect, we would reach 4,350 more potential supporters.”

The Tun Legacy Foundation Five-Year Strategic Plan details the four strategic pillars guiding the work of The Tun Legacy Foundation, which include:

Pillar I: Rebuild The Tun®

Pillar II: Recreate the Spirit

Pillar III: Honor American Legacy

Pillar IV: Establish Enduring Philanthropy

The Five-Year Plan also outlines the project’s execution roadmap and timeline, from pre-development (completed), to fundraising (ongoing), to construction, opening, and sustaining charitable donations.

The eight-page 2025 Year in Review revisits last year’s fundraising successes and milestones, including raising more than $10 million since the launch of the project, and – in 2025 alone – raising a total of $3.02 million.

The Fundraising Overview, a four-page document, explains Keystone Donor and Plank Owner fundraising opportunities and recognition.

“Many donors of The Tun Legacy Foundation have already connected us with others who would want to be involved with the project,” Swindle said. “For those donors who elect either Plank Owner or Keystone donor status, there are limited opportunities to have your name enshrined on donor plaques that will be displayed on The Tun.”
