Keystone Contribution Opportunities

The historic Tun, established in 1686, and razed in 1781 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, served as a legendary birthplace of American history. It is widely recognized for the founding of the United States Marine Corps in 1775 and served as a vital meeting place where early Pennsylvania Freemasons and revolutionary leaders convened, vital decisions were made, and the vision of the nation as we know it today was shaped. The Tun’s second floor meeting room even served as the site where the Articles of War was authored, conceptualizing what is now the U.S. Navy.

As we honor the 250th Anniversaries of the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps in 2025, as well as America’s Semiquincentennial in 2026, the mission of The Tun Legacy Foundation is to fully reestablish The Tun® as a monument to its historical significance in the United States, and to inspire a perpetual commitment to charitable giving that uplifts and empowers.

Your support, recognized through naming opportunities across various rooms within The Tun®, will leave a lasting legacy on veteran and masonic charities and will be permanently recognized for its crucial role in rebuilding this historically significant site.

Pledges are tailorable to multi-year commitments of up to three to five years.
