Corporate Plank Owner

According to military lore, “a Plank Owner” is a member of a ship or unit’s original crew at the time it was first commissioned or activated.

The term comes from the tradition of wooden ships, where original crew members had bragging rights and were entitled to a piece of the ship’s deck planking.

Corporate Donors to The Tun® who contribute $25,000, $50,000 or $100,000 will be designated as ‘Plank Owners,’ and will be recognized through the various benefits listed below.

All Corporate Plank Owners will receive the following Recognition and Benefits:

• Permanent Inscription on the Plank Owner Memorial Tribute within The Tun® (placement based on donation amount)
• Invitations to all events held at The Tun®
• Media and Website Recognition
• Individualized Plank Owner Certificate
