Update on The Tun® Rebuild

The Tun Legacy Foundation has achieved major milestones in the effort to rebuild the historic Tun.

• The land is secured.
• The architectural drawings and construction documents are complete.
• Zoning approval has been received and a construction permit has been issued.
• The Tun Legacy Foundation Advisory Committee was formed.
• Generous donations from individuals and corporations, grants, and 1775 Club members are helping us get closer to our fundraising goal to begin construction.
• Events planned by The Tun Legacy Foundation for the 250th birthday of the United States Marine Corps in Philadelphia will also support the rebuild.

Thanks to the incredible support and enthusiasm of Marines, Freemasons, Sailors, representatives from the three benevolent societies with a heritage at the historic Tun, the City of Philadelphia, civic and community members, and the interested public, we have reached these milestones.
